Experimental Properties:	Permanent in air. At 400 °C loses water, forming metaphosphate\|pH = 4.5 (1% aqueous solution). Forms ferroelectric crystals (Critical temperature = -151 °C)\|At ordinary temperatures, monopotassium phosphate is so far above its Curie point as to give piezoelectric effects in which the emf is proportional to the distorting force.
