Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of Sorbic Acid, It is widely used in foods as preservatives because it has a very strong inhibitory effect on mold and spoilage bacteria, and is easily soluble in water.  Potassium sorbate  has the characteristics of low toxicity, good anti-mildew effect,  does not change the original properties of food.  Potassium sorbate is effective in a variety of applications including food, wine, and personal care products.
