Product Overview

Benzoic Acid (E210) is a classic and efficient acidic food preservative with excellent antibacterial and anti-mold effects in acidic environments.

It is the parent acid of sodium benzoate, with stronger antimicrobial activity. It is widely applied in various acidic food systems, effectively inhibiting mold, yeast and harmful bacteria, preventing food spoilage and greatly prolonging product shelf life.

Character

1.Strong antibacterial & anti-mold performance under acidic conditions

2.Effective inhibition of mold, yeast and spoilage bacteria

3.Stable property, suitable for long-term food preservation

4.Mainly used for acidic food systems

5.Raw material for manufacturing sodium benzoate preservative

Main Functions

1.Mold Inhibition: Suppress mold growth in acidic food

2.Yeast Inhibition: Prevent abnormal yeast fermentation and food deterioration

3.Bacteria Control: Inhibit harmful spoilage bacteria

4.Freshness Preservation: Stabilize food quality and extend shelf life

Application Scope

1. Beverages: Various acidic drinks, fruit juices, carbonated beverages, acidic functional drinks.

2. Sauces & Condiments: All kinds of acidic sauces, seasonings, salad dressings, acidic compound condiments.

3. Jams & Preserved Fruits: Fruit jam, preserves, candied fruits, fruit fillings and sweet preserved products.

4. Bakery Products: Acidic bakery foods, filled pastries, fruit-filled bakery products.

5. Fermented Pickled Foods: Fermented vegetables, pickles, sauerkraut and various fermented acidic products.

6. Other Grades: Feed grade for feed mildew prevention; Industrial grade for chemical synthetic raw materials.

Benzoic Acid VS Sodium Benzoate

Product Similarity Main Difference Typical Focus
Benzoic Acid Acid system preservative, anti-mold & anti-yeast Original acid form, stronger antibacterial activity, slightly low water solubility Fermented food, jam, acidic bakery, condiments, beverages
Sodium Benzoate Acid system preservative, anti-mold & anti-yeast Salt form, high water solubility, easy to dissolve Liquid beverages, large-volume sauce products
