N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is short for NAC, is a modified form of a dietary amino acid known as L-cysteine. NAC acts as a precursor or in laymans terms, a raw material for the manufacture of the all-important endogenous antioxidant glutathione.
Functions:
1. Anti Aging Agent
2. Help with Exercise Tolerance
3. Treatment of Drug Induced Memory Loss
4. Helps with Kidney Disease and Peritoneal Dialysis
5. Treatment of Drug Overdoses if an overdose of acetaminophen has occurred.

Precautions for safe handling

Handling in a well ventilated place. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Use non-sparking tools. Prevent fire caused by electrostatic discharge steam.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Unopened vials of acetylcysteine sodium solution should be stored at 15-30 deg C. Following exposure to air, solutions should be stored at 2-8 deg C to retard oxidation and should be used within 96 hr.
